Steemdroid idea for picture optimization before posting

Are you tired of getting the best part of your photos be cut out in the thumbnail of your posts?
Most of you should already know by now that the thumbnail crops the photo at around 1.73 to 1 aspect ratio i.e height to width ratio.
Photos which are more vertical in nature get cropped indiscriminately.
I propose to make a fresh android and iphone application that optimises the pictures you want to post into a frame that will encompass the whole image.
Steemit partly does that for some images by showing a grey area at the edges of pictures that dont fit the aspect ratio but i want something with a little more finese.
An app that has different colors and background themes in the frame to display the pictures in.

I was inspired by an existing app called squaredroid that fits pictures in a square frame for instagram.
