Is It Worth It?steemCreated with Sketch.

How is Steemit different from other social medias? and I'm not talking about it being decentralized. Sure it's great being free. It feels fantastic that we can post whatever we want and whenever we want, or is it?
The biggest difference I have seen is that most people on Steemit are not actually here to write and the reason most people come to Steemit is because of the promises that come with it.

Since I've been on Steemit I've seen hundreds of post which are either really bad or plagiarized and I'm sure you have seen your fair share of them as well. I'm not sure if those people understand but if they keep on going the way they are going sooner or later they will realized that they are just wasting their time. If you are one of those people and you're wondering what the hell you should do well it isn't that hard. All you need is to get creative.

Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others.
Unsuccessful people are always asking, "What's in it for me?”
― Brian Tracy

Ask yourself, why are you on Steemit? Is it the money? Is it the fame? Try and really think about what you want to do here. The only reason you aren't really doing what you want is yourself. Would you like to help people who are new here? or maybe teach people who are already here new things?

So, whether your on your laptop or your mobile phone and you've got a problem writing then first off all stop the spamming.
Don't be lured in by promises that is being promised.
Take your time to think and write.
Think about what you would like to write about?
How would you like to be known?

Make a plan and work with it, you don't have to post daily just make sure when you do post your words are worth reading.

Now, even when you start writing and you've got no views or upvotes, don't let that bring you down. There are plenty of ways to get noticed on Steemit so instead of spamming and plagiarizing and whenever you might think it's a quick way to earn a buck but you gotta ask yourself, is it really worth it?

I like how you write that one has first help others instead of thinking of themselves. It's true in life as well as on Steemit. The more value you create around you, the more value will come back to you. But of course we should create value in a way that satisfies us first otherwise our souls would dry up.

Of course working on something that satisfies would not only satisfy but makes us perform better in the process and both in life and in Seamit when we help others then people will be comfortable around us which will help us grow

You make some good points arhaynez, and echo what others are frustrated with. Unfortunately, all social media platforms are seemingly 'always' going to be bombarded by just casual users passing time. This is a big problem for quality authors who are getting buried on the lists quickly unless they can get in 'trending'. Another 'fixable' problem for contributors is the inter-mixing of 'all' languages. If you post in your language, you can get buried within minutes by posts from ten different countries. Steemit is 'new' and has a lot of 'fixing' to do...it should become better with time in some respects. Regards,@averageoutsider

Yes, that is true if you are not the 'trending' or 'hot' it's not going to be easy to get noticed here especially since most people don't even pay attention to the content but the rewards, if the post has enough rewards people will be attracted to it because they want a piece of the cake.

This is a mentality that we should change here on Steemit otherwise people who are actually trying to write but fail to get notice will sooner or later fade away .
