Steembook

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Like many other people, I started to brows here and there to find out what is Steemit, how it works and what to do with it  or just forget about it.

As a result, I got lots of information hard to undersand. So I decided to make a very short notes of the most important things I found, keep it  here, so that is always close  to my eyes.  What for? When i find and sort and understand everything, then I should be able to create highly valuable contant . Why not?

Also may be it will  help to people who don't speak good English, because I am writing here by simple words as this is not my native language. ))

In order to  understand what Steemit is, let's compare  it to Facebook, which everyone knows. On the Facebook web site every one can publish his article, and visitors can comment and vote for it.

Steemit is the same as Facebook, but there is an opportunity for their users to be paid for both writers and readers.

Let's just imagine Facebook suddenly decided to reward his users for their years of hard work. And Facebook changes  his name to Steembook.  That is simple.

Then what to do with it?

Now I know.  We do the same as we do with Facebook. Write articles, upload photos, videos, post comments, press like buttons.

It seems it's a good time to all Facebook users move to Steemit now. It should be easy and natural.

The value of post and articles on Steemit displayed in dollars. Why? Because anyone knows what dollar is and what is its value, and what to do with dollar.  Dollar is  not Virtual Money. It motivates.

UpVote button - it's the same Facebook "Like"  button on Facebook used in the same way. Simple again.

By pressing UpVote, posting comments, users increase value of published material and get opportunity to divide profit with content owner.   Sure that author  gets more % of total income.

But is't not such easy as it looks like.  Each UpVote can bring to author  a few cents, as well as  dozens of dollars. It depends on who press this UpVote button, by other words it depends on User status, how much Steem Power has a man who votes. That is why some articles or videos can be rised up within a few hours but another ones don't move for weeks. People with high status don't vote for  content which they don't like or if it does not have future potential.

I spent much time to find and undersdand all written above,  but it seems just like a few lines when I read it...
