That's a good question and i don't have the answer. Steemit is actually a community where rich is getting richer and poor is staying poor. and the difference is widening. just because of the lust of the whales, it seems the community is going towards a dead end. i had a few friends who joined here after i made them to join here but soon after wasting 3, 4 months and getting nothing they just stopped wasting their time here. I think the big reason why Steemit is not exploding is because it has become a profit making machine for some and thats why after wasting some time, the minnows just quit.
yes you are absolutly right..i too felt the same that the whales here are king and the newbies are just wasting their time to get the upvotes from the whales who doesnt even give a look on any newbies post...what i feel is if anyone wants to grow on this platform, he/she have to invest in it by buying steem power then after getting upvote power they can survive here..but its not easy to buy the steem power as its soo costly...
