BOLD, ITALIC & HEADERS in Steemit's Editor

These text formatting options are really just a few keystrokes away yet not many of us seem to be using them.

I promised to keep it short so I will not go into the technical stuff.

Bold & Italic

BOLD
Whenever you need it, close off your words on all sides with two asterisks (little stars) like this. **text**

ITALIC
Same principle, but use one asterisk. *text*

To demonstrate...

Default text:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Editor view:
Lorem ipsum *dolor* sit amet, **consectetur adipiscing** elit, sed do **eiusmod *tempor* incididunt** ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Preview:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

Headers

Headers are really the easiest to implement, just place a hash # (garden fence) before the word. To make it smaller place another one and so on.

I recommend trying to experiment a bit. It is fun and once you get familiar with the symbols you might as well start using them, but keep that in mind that less is more. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
