We have a Steemit feed, and now? Post bookmark and votes feed [Feature Proposal to devs]
Since the feed is here, we can finally see what people we follow are posting, and this is a great feature!
But now let me suggest what it may be implemented as a next step:
- add post to favorites
- live upvotes feed

Adding posts to favorites
- we find many interesting posts, some are quite long, so we would like to read them later, easily.
- we may want to go back to a particular post to vote it later (when voting power is restored).
It would be great to have all the "starred" posts in a favorite tab, also with the option to have them categorized by tags.
Hey! I was reading a really cool post on Steemit about #whatever - Let me read it again now!
I think something similar has already be suggested by other users, but I gave my personal idea about that.
Upvotes real time feed
Another possible, very useful feature, may be a real time feed with all upvotes the user receives.
A simple feed with all last upvotes, time and user who upvoted, post voted, and the ability to click on the username and check his posts!
Sometimes I receive votes from posts I'm not currently checking and I take a long time to notice them.
A live feed would give us in real time what's happening, from which posts upvotes are coming and who is voting us. (we already have a live feed for the comments, so it would be similar).
I can see Steemit taking off by resurrecting the same great user experience we all once enjoyed on Digg.com right before they sold out and began censoring all their content to stop Ron Paul during the '08 election.
As soon as Digg.com started censoring content, the best contributors started bailing. Your platform is as good as its content is. And if all the best content leaves, so will all the people.
There is an extreme demand for uncensored media. Steemit could be the next uncensored media site if they can enhance user experience with reliable content. Let the people decide what makes the cut.
Let the best ideas win.
Well done, Steemit.
You have a live feed of votes at https://www.steemd.com/@andrew0
To save articles for later, I use Pocket. It has extentions/plugins with all browsers and has apps for Android and Apple. http://www.getpocket.com
Hope that helps!
I forgot to thank you for the advice! Now I do it, hope not too late :)
Great Ideas
Thank you!
BTW I just saw that a live feed of the upvotes already exists on steemstats.com
and it's quite cool :))
Steeming hot ideas @andrew0, I suffer from lack of reading time, so the idea of bookmarking favourites is a great one!
Same for me, and the categorized index with tags would be even better! :)
Nice man good thoughts.
