STEEMIT needs a desperate update (TeamSteem open letter)

I just joined this website because i believe in the cause but for god sakes do something about all the confusing things that make it so hard for a newbie to join and more important to keep coming back.

Here are some of the problems i found that are absolut killers on STEEMIT :

1- there is no clear way to explain steem, steem dollar, steem power, even the explanations found on youtube are 10-15 minutes long that is not going to hold in an era of short attention span

2-the website structure is lacking at best, there is no way to put tags(the five categories are not actually tags) so there is no real content discovery sistem built in. Or if you want a shorter version.. the content is a big ball of chaos and finding relevant content is fuitile

3-the page: wallet/permissions is some sort of mystery that you have to unlock to understand what that is and of course most people would just quit because it's easier.

4. setting a picture for anything like profile, or even in posts is a killer. You have to hotlink it through  a link that can change anytime and is not in your controll. Besides if you use stock photos you can not hotlink them you have to download them and then upload them somwhere else and then link to them . That takes forever  and is unnecessary. Why not upload pictures like other websites?  Why make a simple process so intricate  and cumbersome?

I have been using the website from yesterday so i bet there are other mysteries on this platform too

For a social network to catch fire ,not just smoke a bit, you need to make the process eforless.

The fact that your platform is so unintuitive but manages to grow so much is a clear indicative that your idea is a diamond but we need to polish  this diamond to show it's full potential.

Instead of investing in marketing invest in a flawless  super easy to join and use platform, that would  have way more impact(bang for the buck)  then any marketing efforts at this point

Your idea is brilliant but the implementation kills it.

Let's do something about it before is not too late
