Bandwidth Limit Exceeded!

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

So was just going about the usual steemit routines and was suddenly met with this error about bandwith limit exceeded and something on waiting to transact or powering up when I tried to post.

Was a bit confused at first then remembered seeing something about bandwidth on my steemd page. Upon checking I discovered that my remaining bandwidth value was about -110 %, so obviously not good.

It is recharging though, but I'm still finding info on how it works and the effects of having more steem power on dealing with this issue.

Out of curiosity, what will happen when there's a lot more users? Will we be limited to a certain number of posts, comments or upvotes per day?

Hopefully it's not a serious issue and I will know better as I read up (newbie experience). Meanwhile, you can maybe share your thoughts and point me in the right direction to help other noobs too.

This is just me writing about what I like!

I've been around a year and I've only just started seeing this. I don't understand either, going to have to do some reading. But I see that @roadscape has just added a voting power and bandwidth indicator to steemd.com user pages.

It means that this is a recent development. The indicator is good though, makes for easy checking.

I have been here about a year and last night was the first time I have seen this.
