Dead in indiscriminate shooting in Texas

The death toll in Texas has risen to at least five and 21 injured, according to a Midland police spokesman.
"We have at least 21 victims ... and at least five dead at this stage," a police spokesman in Odessa told reporters, without clarifying whether the five were among the 21.
The mayor of the nearby town of Midland told Fox News that three policemen were among the wounded.
Earlier, US police pointed out that a gunman shot several people in Texas, before stealing a truck and driving it.
The Texas police explained on Facebook that "one (and possibly two) roam the Odessa area with a vehicle and fire randomly at people."
Police called on residents to stay away from highways and exercise extreme caution.
Jeremy Morales, mayor of nearby Midland, was quoted by The New York Times as saying a suspect had been arrested. "I'm not sure if he's alive," he said.
The White House said US President Donald Trump had been briefed on the incident.
