[Book review] Second job with WritingsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello, This is @agpowder!

I recently read a book called 'Second job with Writing', which has been around two months since it was published.

I used to read investment-related books that were up-to-date. And I like to write books and I like to write. So I was attracted to a rather interesting title.

So far, there are two well-known methods of making money from writing. The first way is to post to your blog and earn money through marketing or AdSense. And the second way is to publish your own novels or self-help books in e-books and get paid. These two are the classic ways that the most people do.

The method introduced in this book was not these ways. In short, it was to read books, write reviews about them, and sell them to the report market. The author read books and wrote down the book reviews everyday, for eight years. And he posted it on numerous report markets.

The report market has a high commission rate of more than 50% and many competitors, and even the selling price is not high, so you can only earn 300 ~ 500 KRW(0.3~0.5USD) per piece of data in Korea.

But he did it for eight years, so the reviews he wrote during that time became huge, making him a great second career (His monthly income estimated to be around 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 KRW(1,000~2,000USD))

Of course there are doubts about this.

First, if you are going to be put on the report market, is it better to write a book review that is highly competitive?

Of course, if you do anything else, you may find it hard to think about topics every day. But reading and organizing a book every day is not as easy as that.

For example, if you read and organize news items, or analyze the results of an analysis program, you might be able to earn even more money after eight years.

The author said that it is very easy to read and write a review. Because he has done it for a very long time. But if you do other interpretations or analyzes every day, you can do it very quickly too.

The second doubts is the stability of the report market.

Most students visit the market, and school assignments are always required. So I do not think it will go out of business.

However, it is a substitute for school assignments, and this may be prohibited. Obviously, the good thing is that students do not have to go through these sites but think themselves, and many teachers and professors are studying about it.

I think that the report site will not get any better than the present when considering such a good long-term direction.

Despite these doubts, the reason I like this book is that the results have been produced by the writer's efforts over many years.

As you can see from the investing books related to real estate and stocks, many writers write and lecture as if they are experts even though they just have been hit by the flow or luck rather than the efforts of individuals. In that case you do not agree with the content and just envy luck.

On the other hand, I can feel the considerable efforts of the author in this book, and the writer encourages everyone to write. So when you read the book, you will have confidence in writing.

It was a book that taught me that it is important to have a steady effort and persistence to do something, rather than how the writer made money by writing★
