The next thing to design is your cover image, which should be as striking as possible. I used Canva to design my cover......here's how to use it. Once you have signed up (it's free) click on 'Create a Design' and select a template. I used the template for a Twitter post. In the toolbar down the left hand side, click on 'Background' and select a colour. Now click on 'Text' and a choice of three sizes of typeface are offered. Select one and drag it onto the background. Choose a font and write your copy. For an image click on 'Uploads' ----> 'Upload Your Own Images'. After uploading an image, drag it across to the background, position and resize. Use the Snipping Tool to transfer the image to Dropbox and generate a URL using tinypic.com, as described in Day 2.

Have you heard of @schoolforsdg4? It’s a charity run school in Bangladesh that provides free education to 60 students. This school was created by @Azizbd who works tirelessly to make positive changes in his community despite obstacles that most of us can not even imagine.  In addition to educating deserving kids, @Azizbd offers a program to help the students’ mothers develop skills that will help them, in time, to bring in some income. In doing so, these two programs—education and training—keep kids in the classroom (instead of needing to work to earn money to cover basic needs) and create hope for the future of this community.     If that’s not inspiring enough, get this: @schoolforsdg4 and the @womenempowerment project are funded by Steemit. Upvotes, resteems, and some direct donations from those on the platform are changing lives.  Thanks to jessicakluthe  for news of this great initiative.

Truro to St Austell

Cornwall's coastline is famous for its many sandy inlets and beautiful beaches. 300 years ago  this coast was infamous for smugglers bringing in contraband  from France. Daphe du Maurier's famous novel told the story of Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor, where smugglers, rogues and wreckers met to plan their shady exploits. Wreckers lit lights on headlands to lure unsuspecting sailing ships onto the rocks. They then plundered the cargo.
