The CAT tipping bot has only been running for 2 days and is still in testing.
Two facepalms on my end here:
1 - forgot to ignore root posts, the bot shouldn't even have responded here
2 - the invalid input routine had a pesky little punctuation error in the code which caused the task to not get removed after the reply and the bot restarting 10 minutes later.
Both problems are fixed now, sorry for the hassle.
It read the the content of the post and it triggered its command, but because there's a quotation mark after it, it got confused. @cat.tips thinks you're trying to send a tip. I'll let his developer know about this glitch. The bot has only been online since yesterday. I'll tell him to tell his bot to ignore top level posts and just look for the CATtip command in comments.
It might stop commenting if you edit out the portion that says !CATtip 2 from the post. I don't know for sure, but it could be something to try because it looks like it's going to keep commenting every 12 minutes until the dev wakes up and shuts it off.
It looks like the bot is stuck in a loop and making a comment every 12 minutes with the error message. I sent a private message to the bot's develloper, but he lives in Europe and he's probably sleeping right now and probably for a few more hours.
I discovered this when I tried to send a CATtip and I noticed that the bot wasn't responding. I went to check on Steemworld and noticed that it was leaving a lot of comments on this post.
I'm kind of a beta tester for the project and I guess I found my first bug.

I'm putting a space after the "!" before the CATtip. I think that should work.

Looks like it stopped. Maybe it shouldn't look at depth=0 in the first place.
You’re right; it shouldn’t. I’m sure the developer thought about that, too. I’m interested to find out why that happened there.
