“Recipe of the Day,Week No.52:(Eru soup)”
Hello @everyone accept special greetings from me to you all on this amazing Steemit platform.Welcome to my blog today ,as I share with you people one of my Favourite recipe in @wirngo kitchen.This special recipe is called “Eru” soup . This one of the most popular meal enjoyed in all the 10regions of Cameroon .
This Eru is soup can be seen soup is a leaf mostly found in bushes especially in hot area .It is prepared with different ingredients to taste good .One thing about Eru soup is that it’s quite expensive to prepare .This because the Ingredients quite demanding .Most people prepare it occasionally in my location because it’s costly foods.
This is one of meal that is commonly seen in classic restaurants in Cameroon .Eru can be eaten with waterfufu , cooked Garri and boiled cassava.All these are produced out of cassava.These fufu from cassava are Starchy food.People love the combination waterfufu and Eru because of it nutritional value.
Inthe below section I will say with you people how to prepare Eru soup .I hope you all will be attentive to learn something from my recipe.
The following are the ingredients needed in preparing simple Eru soup.Your ingredients will be determined by the quantity of Eru you will like to prepare .There my ingredients follows the same quantity am preparing
- Cryfish
- Maggi
- Palmoil
- Meats
- Dry fish
- A pinch of salt
- Waterleave
- Pepper optional

The following are the steps involved in preparing Eru.
step1
Sliced your meat and wash it with clean water .Put it inside a clean pot and boil it on the Gascooker .Make sure you put salt and maggi
Step2
Select your waterleave and slice it well.Make sure you removed all the dirt and hard stem before slicing .This is to ensure it gets ready well.Dont forget to wash it with clean water.
Step3
Wash your Eru well with clean water , make sure you select dirt from Eru before washing .You can wash your Eru two to three times with clean water .
step4
When your meat is ready add your waterleaf inside the meat and stir .Allow it to boil for 3 to 5minutes .
Step5
Add in your wash Eru ,dry fixed fish and cryfish ,salt and maggi.Stir it and add in your palmoil and allow it to cook together well.It should be noted that your quantity of Eru will depend on the amount of palmoil you will like to put inside .Allow to cook for 10 to 12minutes.Make you should not have much water inside.
Now after, this 12 stir your Eru soup and make you taste of salt and maggi is ok for your taste .Now your Eru soup is ready for consumption.
It should be noted that your can prepare waterfufu or cooked Garri to enjoy your Eru soup with it. The combination is good and taste good .
