This amazing beast has been developed by BAE Systems and The University of Manchester. This is a small-scale unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). It is the stealthiest drone ever built.
Stealth drones are unable to be discovered by any radar, it only gives dead direction. The manufacturers have reduced the weight and maintenance costs by avoiding the complex mechanical moving parts which were being used in conventional aircraft.
The two technologies to be trialled first using the jet-powered UAV, MAGMA, are:
- Wing Circulation Control, which takes air from the aircraft engine and blows it supersonically through the trailing edge of the wing to provide control for the aircraft.
- Fluidic Thrust Vectoring, which uses blown air to deflect the exhaust, allowing for the direction of the aircraft to be changed.

The BAE Systems has invested £1 billion on R&D in 2016 alone and then partnering with top universities.

This drone is surely different from normal drones not only regarding unique shape but also in sonic speed. It could be used for spying and security purposes as it is undetectable by radars.
