Talao used to be eMindHub which is a platform for companies and recruiters that has been using non-cryptocurrency tokens for 2 years.... they're now moving towards an ERC20 toke (TALAO) where contracts for work are set up as Ethereum Smart Contracts.
I've consulted in IT and been a contractor for over a decade, and I can tell you that Recruiters often get a large bonus for finding a candidate, and then often organise a percentage of your daily rate... this can continue for years, and they'll often make thousands and thousands of dollars for a single annual phone call.
It's been frustrating for my entire career, and even when I set up my own company, recruiters are often set up as Preferred Suppliers so I still can't cut them out, even when I get a job through my own contacts.
The TALAO token solves this problem. It's a smart contract between myself and my client. There is 0% commission to anyone, it's completely middleman-free. This is exactly what Blockchain should be used for.
Both companies and talent earn reputation so that contracts that end positively for both parties helps to future work... so it's in the interest of both the company and the talent to ensure the other is satisfied.
This also means you could potentially find a contractor or get a job within 48 hours... which from experience is incredible. I've had quite a few instances where I've started way too early because a recruiter has pushed a company to get me in (before someone else grabs me) and I'm sitting around bored... or the whole gig was super delayed because the recruiter was busy, or on holidays or whatever... by streamlining the process, this means companies and talent should line up way more effectively.
