RE: [Steemhunt] SMT Lite and Steemhunt

in #steemhunt6 years ago

I don't think Steemhunt can use the light version of SMT because it lacks the unique core feature of Steem BC which is PoB and inflation pool.

I guess there're some dApps that can just utilize issuance and transfer features as well, but those features are supported by every existing Blockchain already. I personally don't understand what's the point making the "light" version without Steem's core.

We'll probably wait until "vote-able emissions" feature's implemented.

oh and the "point" of making the "light" version without the steem core is same reason SpaceX n's first rocket engine looked like this

simple design, and then over time it ended up like this

So as you can see the complexity went up over time, here you can really see the progression

And obviously, Blockchains and Rocket Science have plenty in common, lots of complexity and moving parts. In fact it makes a lot of sense to put all the pieces of a rocket engine on a blockchain, i bet EOS will be used to run all of spacex in the future.

Will robots in space be using paper money or gold bars in space? Hell no theyll use crypto currency.

interesting points and limitations about SMT-lite.
