Although Anker is mostly known for its external batteries and chargers, the brand also offers a range of wireless headphones with the name of Zolo for sale. The Liberty +, which we have been able to test, are the premium model of your wireless headphones. On sale for less than 100 euros, offer at first sight an interesting price-quality ratio.

After the success of its Kickstarter campaign, which raised $ 2.8 million in July 2017, the Liberty + were launched in some countries, such as France, including FNAC, and can be found at a price of 99.99 euros.
Design and finishing
With Liberty +, Zolo wants to address the four common problems commonly found with wireless headsets available on the market: sound quality, battery life, ease of use and connectivity. The mission is difficult and delicate, especially since its price is still very affordable compared to other headsets of better known brands in this field (Bose, Beats, JBL ...) and, therefore, it has been necessary to make certain decisions to offer that price.

Comfortable and aesthetic headphones
Regarding the sound quality, the Liberty + have a particular design to offer a better sound. The black plastic headphones are discreet but benefit from a structure that adapts well to the shape of the ears. Nothing to object to the quality of the finishes, which are very good. Regarding storage, as with the Apple AirPods, the Liberty + are stored in an elegant black metal box that also serves as a charger, lightweight and easy to carry.

To accompany us in all kinds of activities, even the most athletic, Liberty + offers a GripFit technology that requires them to be first inserted and then you have to turn them backwards until they are blocked. To prevent any from coming off or falling off, Zolo provides a set of pads of different sizes. However, it will be necessary to arm yourself with patience in order to change them correctly and avoid plugging the connectors that allow the recharging of the headphones.

Unfortunately, and often happens, I have more than once dropped one. So you have to be especially careful when we wear them to avoid unpleasant surprises. Now, this is a problem that concerns all wireless headsets, not just this particular model.

Another good point in your favor is that the Liberty + have an IPX5 protection rating, which means they are resistant to water and sweat. Anyway, forget about them for any activity in the pool.

Simple and effective connection
One of the common problems in headphones of this type (and not only in them) in the market is the process of Bluetooth connection, which can sometimes be a real headache. In this model there is no application available, so you have to pair them manually

In particular, just click on the button on the right earphone and select "Liberty +" on the Bluetooth connection screen of our previously activated device. It is simple and effective.

From a functional perspective, each headset has a button that is used to advance (right earphone) or rewind (left headphone) the track. You can use either of the two headphones to pause or start playback. to finish, a prolonged pressure on one of the headphones starts the transparency function, which activates the microphone and allows you to listen to everything that happens around. This is one of the main differences of Liberty headphones. It can be changed without removing the headphones from the ears. A practical feature if we use headphones in the office, for example.

Quality sound
The Liberty + promise a premium experience for wireless headphones. As much as to affirm it right now: I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the sound and the isolation of the rest of the world that headphones provide at this price. The sound is not passed with the basses, a considerable advantage since it is a trend of many manufacturers, and it is a pleasure to listen to radio podcasts.

The Liberty + are also coated with graphene, a material that is made with pure carbon, extremely strong but also very malleable. The latter is 100 times stronger than steel for a fraction of the weight, which theoretically helps to create immersive sound quality with deeper bass, crisper and vivid treble, and a warmer midrange. In practice, it is only partly true because the headphones isolate the noise quite well, as I mentioned before and the bass is respected; The media, however, are a bit relegated.

A satisfactory autonomy
Equipped with an Anker battery (otherwise it would have been surprising), the Liberty + can be used on average for just over 3 hours. They come with a charging case, which allows them toite extend its autonomy 48 additional hours. To charge the case, you only have to use the mini-USB cable provided in the box. I especially value the magnetic connectors that facilitate the placement of the headphones. However, be sure to verify that they are correctly placed; otherwise, the headphones will not recharge. Another good point is that the Liberty + headphones charge quickly and provide 1 hour of listening after only 15 minutes in the case. Final Reward For less than 100 euros, the Liberty + offer a very interesting value for money. The headphones provide excellent sound quality while ensuring a more than remarkable comfort. The Liberty + will delight users who are looking for wireless headphones that are also compatible with sports. There is the Liberty model, cheaper, but honestly for less than 100 euros the Plus offer you the function of transparency, something very interesting.
