The drone is called "Robot multilink embedded double rotor with Multi-deGree-of-freedom Air Transformation Capability," or DRAGON for short. Fortunately, drone designers are better at robotics than they are in acronyms.
DRAGON DRONE consists of several separate parts, and each section has its own self-controlled propellers. Although the parts are attached, this allows each part to move on its own. The semi-autonomous software decides what form the drone will take and how each part will move to achieve that shape.
can be used to navigate small spaces and interact with different objects, using the changed shapes to retrieve and manipulate all kinds of different things.
