If you have damp in your house, or you have a basement where you are worried about damp getting in from the ground, it helps to have a dehumidifier.

It will suck water vapour from the air, drying your rooms out.

The Russell Hobbs dehumifier comes with a 1 litre tank and can remove 0.75 litres of water from the air in a room a day.

I tend to use mine when it is raining outside and I have clothes to dry. I place the clothes on a rack in my spare room, and turn on the dehumidifier, and it sucks all the water out of the air, leaving the clothes and the room nice and dry.
