Technology can help us educate children correctly. Today we bring you a new game focused on teaching chess to children of 5 years in a fun and practical way. This is "Magnus Kingdom of Chess", an application that through simple dynamics and friendly characters will teach the basic movements and the multiple situations that we can find in chess.
The game developed by DragonBox is now available for Android and iOS and has been sponsored by Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen, a world champion and an inspiration for young people who want to learn all the secrets of chess.
A game to educate children in chess

The goal of Magnus Kingdom of Chess is to progressively introduce each of the six different pieces of chess, how they capture and the most common techniques to defeat the enemy king. Concepts such as 'check' or 'checkmate' will also appear in the game as it progresses.
During the game players can meet Magnus Carlsen himself and a mysterious prince. Step by step they will get to know more about the world of chess and face logic problems, until at the end they will be able to receive a diploma that accredits them as experts in chess and thus be able to face other players.

The design of Magnus Kingdom of Chess is very successful and fits perfectly in the style of educational game for children. It has been created following some indications of the own Magnus Carlsen as well as of its equipment of Play Magnus and in our first impressions it has seemed to us an excellent way to promote between the smallest ones a so beneficial sport.

Without a doubt it is a game that we recommend to all those parents who are looking for a tool to educate their children and exercise their cognitive skills. Now, Magnus Kingdom of Chess has two details to consider.
Currently not available in Spanish, yes in English. The translation is planned, but it is not expected to arrive for a while. The texts are simple to follow and are not essential to understand the game, despite this we would have liked to find it in more languages.
On the other hand, Magnus Kingdom of Chess has a starting price of 7.99 euros. Although the title does not contain advertising or any type of integrated purchase, a very important movement when we are talking about applications for children.
