Gradle is a mechanization tool for code building that rely on tools like Apache Ant and Apache Maven. It is supported by Groovy and DSL (Domain Specific Language), it helps us to work with a simple and clear language, Gradle, uses a DAG to determine the order of the tasks that will be executed.
This tool also allows working with other languages (Java, C ++ and Python) despite being built on Groovy and offers a dependency management system. Work easily with Eclipse.
Gradle is an improved version of Maven, which is beneficial because it helps us automate the process of building our projects.
"It is based on Groovy which has a syntax very similar to Java. Groovy is an object-oriented programming language. When we compile our software, Gradle checks if there are changes in the source code with respect to the last compilation, thus saving the task of recompiling. "
This tool was designed with the aim of building multi-projects and giving support to the growing constructions by determining which construction parts are being updated, in such a way that it avoids performing an execution to those dependent tasks again.
Gradle has been included among the 20 best open source projects.
