Illegal wildlife trade is absolutely rampant in the recent years. Due to various technical difficulties as well as little information is known regarding the secretive routes used by poachers to smuggle the endangered species, the cracking or even tracking down the criminals has actually little success. It is estimated that more than 90% of sea turtle nests are destroyed by the poachers in their attempt to acquire the turtle eggs!
Luckily, this investEGGator is here for the rescue. Equipped with GPS-GSM tracking technology, 3D printing ability as well as talents of make-up artists, these extremely realistic eggs are placed amongst the real sea turtle eggs, making them nearly indistinguishable. It is hoped that this effort could provide the clarity and information needed to dismantle the whole egg trafficking syndicate!
