OceanEnergy Buoy is practically a power station. But not any kind of power station, it is a wave technology power station. Basically this means that it produces renewable energy out of wave power (and to a lesser extent, tidal power). That means it has to be designed and built perfectly because we all know the power and destruction waves can cause. This Buoy is designed for survivability so it can provide a great load of data for future use of such wave power stations!

OceanEnergy Buoy consists out of 3 parts. Platform, power generator and mooring system. All three are essential for it to work and survive in those conditions. I hope this project leads in an important discovery about wave power and renewable energy extraction form it, as we know it is hard to produce big quantity of energy from wave power so far.
