Minnow, Dolphin or Whale - When do you know what species you are?

in #steemhelp8 years ago

Here is a question that I bet a lot of people have, particularly lower species in the Steemit ecosystem.  How does one know what species one is on Steemit?  I think a minnow is pretty self-aware that they are a minnow but dolphins seem to know that they are dolphins and whales seem to know that they are whales.  For that matter are there other species on Steemit that I'm not aware of; Sharks, Octopuses, Mermaids, Aquamen, etc.?

Metrics or Guesstimates

Is their a particular metric or website that indicates when someone crosses over to new heights of speciesdom or is their a level of sophistication one gets here that you just know where you stand.  Or to quote from one of my favorite movies Rounders:

  • " Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you ARE the sucker. "

Final Question

How might as new people, and perhaps people that have been around awhile, now exactly when we graduate to new statuses of species and know what other Steemians are?  Is there a website or does something happen on the dashboard that alerts us of our new status?  That would be a very useful tidbit of information.

Perhaps we could throw a party whenever we move up the ranks!
