One Afternoon, while im walking my way to my Company, i noticed this Fried Peanuts, and it gets my attention to capture them with my phone camera. i like to buy some of this when im bit hungry, Here in the Philippines, its normal for us to see Some Peanut vendors in the streets, this fried peanuts is my favorite past time foods when im bored, at jeepney i munch some of this, and i dont care what the others say, when i have this snack with me.
You can buy Some of this in every street here the Philippines, in an instant, with just a 5 pesos, or a Cents of dollars, This "Mani" or Peanuts, has devided in some kinds, like Maning Prito,Maning Nilaga, Maning Adobo or Maning Sweet and there are other tiny snack like Corn snack, Green Peas, and Beans.
"Maning Prito, And adobong Mani"
Or Deep Fried Peanuts, is a way for cooking peanuts, for some Hot Oils, you fried the peanut on the frying pan, with some amount of oil, this oil depends for the numbers of peanuts you put in the pan adds sliced garlic shapes like crescent moon and mix it up for a minutes, if the peanuts appears, a little brownish, thats the time you have to stop stirring or mixing, after that, put your fried peanuts on some clean containers and add some salt and MSG on it and Mix it up, untill the salt and MSG, stick to the skin of your peanuts.
"Maning Nilaga or Boiled Peanuts"
Boiled Peanuts in a salty water till they are cooked or tendered looking. For how much salty taste or tender you want it depends on your preference. I like it i a way,for not too salty and not too soft. It didn’t take a long time to cook this, so just check 30 to 45 minutes if the peanuts are done for you, it has a soft and salty feeling, when you, first time eat it.
"Maning Sweet or Sweet Peanuts"
Its done with Some Sugar, on it, you fried your raw peanuts in some boiling oil in the pan with a huge amount of Sugar, wait until, like the first in our list, you mix it up, untill its color turned golden brown and you will see the coated sugar looks like crystalized and it stick to the peanuts.
The last from our list is the "Original Adobong Mani"
This is the same Way for cooking, Pritong Mani, a little difference is, the Adobong mani has some spicey chili's on in, that makes your mouth feels excited for your every bites, it called adobong mani caused it taste like adobo, when the feelings of fried garlics, and chilis blends through your mouth, and it best with some dipping Spicey Vinegar with Onions too. Yum yum. 😊
