#STEEMGIGS: (motivation & inspiration) — HAVE I LOST MY WIFE TO ANOTHER MAN?
Steve and Jane have been married for three years without children. They stayed together with the hope that they will have a child before their fifth year of marriage. Their love for each other kept them going despite pressure and advice from friends and family members to get divorce and look for new partner
Days turned to weeks, weeks to months and years passed...by and one particular day while Steve was coming back home, he saw his wife with a strange man happily chatting down the street. The following day, while Steve was coming back home again, he saw the same strange man dropping her off close to the house. Steve was livid with anger and sad.
Three days after, Steve was taking water with a glass cup when the phone rang. He picked it up thinking it was the call he has been waiting for and the voice at the other end said ‘hello dear, I’ll be in your house this evening to see you as promised. I hope you will get prepare on time and .....’’ and then Steve furiously dropped the phone.
It was a male voice. This must be the strange man again. He was filled with this thought. ‘Is my wife seeing another man, have I lost her?’’ Then, the glass cup fell from his hand and broken into pieces.
On hearing the sound of broken glass, Jane came rushing into the room asking, ‘’is everything alright?’’ Steve blinded by anger and pushed his wife, she fell down. She was lying there not moving or getting up. Steve then discovered that she fell on the broken glass cup and a large chunk of glass has pierced her at the back of her head. He checked her breath and heartbeat, fear grip him as Jane has stopped breathing. His wife was dead.
In pandemonium, he sights a neatly folded paper in her hand. He opened and read it. It
Was written by Jane and it reads:
‘’ My dear loving and caring husband, words cannot express how I feel, so i had to write it down and give it to you to read. I have been going to see a doctor for more than two weeks and wanted to be sure before I give you the news. The doctor confirmed that I am pregnant and guess what? It is a twin and our babies will be due in 6 months time.
The doctor also happen to be my long lost cousin whom I lost contact with about ten years ago. He has promised to take care of me and our babies and give us the best care without collecting a dime.
He also promised to come over to the house today and have dinner with us. Thank you for your love and standing by me all through...... your loving wife.
Steve was still at the state of confusion when there was a knock at the door and it was the strange man again. .’’ Hello Steve, I suppose am right, am John, your wife’s .....’’And suddenly he stopped noticed Jane in the pool of blood.... he rushed her to the hospital but it was too late, Jane couldn’t make it. She was gone and so were the twins..
LESSON:
In our relationships, we should not be too quick in judging reacting and draw conclusion when we haven’t find out from our partner what we saw or heard about them.
Communication, Trust and Patience are keys we should bring to our relationship. Not everything we see or
hear or believe is right about them.
