Review : Road Warrior
Hello guys. Welcome to another game review from me. I hope your week has been great. Mine has not.... A whole lot of assignments and bad vibes from bad friends. So... Today, I'll be bringing to you one of the games I never get tired of playing. It's not a very complicated game but it has managed to keep me in love with it for four years now. However, let it be noted that I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times but one way or the other, I still enjoy playing it every single time it gets into my phone.
Introducing to you guys "Road Warrior".
"What's better than a car with a machine gun? A car with a missile"
Hey. If you're a freak of action like me who can noy stay away from Action movies, games and WWE (Even though I know the fights are fake) then you're going to love this game. It brings you into the movie Death race. I'm pretty sure Asphalt will be a whole lot interesting if weapon upgrades were added to it. Damn! Kill or be killed!!
Game : Road warrior
Genre : Racing simulation / action
Platform : Android.
GAMEPLAY
The game itself is a thriller. I mean while the race can get sluggish if you're using a slow car, it can get super freaky when you start to use a fast car armed with a missile.
The game has a very easy interface to understand for anyone new to phones. In the first page, You'll see a choice to select multi-player or single player. I normally do the single player - Never tried the multi-player though.
The next page you'll be getting to will be the garage where you can buy cars and add upgrades to them. Each car can have its features upgraded to a particular extent allowed by the developers.
Also in this interface, you can buy weapons, machine guns, missiles, rocket launchers and upgrade their damages. Sick world we're in... All for a race. Haha
After making your choice of car, you'll be shown another page where you get to choose from five shuffled tracks. Each track has a skull symbol beneath it. The number of skulls present determines how difficult the race will be. Also, tracks with a red line at the top signify race tracks with special rules. Special rules include "All nitro, no weapons etc"
At the same page, you can buy three power ups - Shield, missiles and N20 tank (Nitrogen boost) for the present game you want to play. Do note that these upgrades will be non existent when you restart the particular race midway.
After winning first position in your first race, three bosses will pop up obviously annoyed that you won and will challenge you to races. After defeating them subsequently, three other tougher bosses will pop up again... And then the sequence repeats itself.
RACING
Racing is pretty in a 2d mode. You don't have to do the left to right steering but only worry about flipping mid air and winning boosts and breaking before you hit your roof on the wall of an underground ceiling. You can lock your aim to opponents and blast them with whatever weapon you have installed and you sometimes need to break at certain places to access the shortcuts in the race track.
Basically, I'd say the games makes you to think critically about the best possible way to maneuver round a track and spend the least possible time on it in order to win
Actually, This is one of the games where the Artificial intelligence players will compete with you and blast the bonkers out of you if you get in their way. And this is a great thing. Who loves playing a game that doesn't challenge you at all? Despite having upgraded my car to the fullest and adding rocket launchers, I had to play a level over ten times to win.
GRAPHICS
the graphics of the game is spot on. They are not too dull and not too shiny. Ever imagined a missile flying at the same speed with your car when you're on nitro? It's something you'll see in this game very well.
Since I've been playing it, the graphics have been good enough for phones with 512mb RAM without any glitches or slow downs. This is a plus as any phone can play this game. All that is need is a screen and an android System. Se fini.
IN-APP PURCHASES
Now now. The developers have to make money from making a very interesting game. You can buy MP and dollars cor in-game use by purchasing it straight from the store inside the game. However, this is optional cos the developers did not make it compulsory to buy game points and dollars to play.
CONCLUSION
I don't know if I will get tired of this game soon but it's four years now and I'm not. The game is something everyone who loves action should try out. It's totally worth the time. Do let me know what you think about the game.
Thanks for stopping by.
