Steem Forest Entry

This Faique (Acacia Macracantha) tree was planted by one of the directors, Alejandro Pizarro (@pizarro1301), at the EcoSwell house. This was one of 8 trees planted around that house that we posted about yesterday. Faique are native to the dry forest and are one of the many plants we use for our reforestation efforts.

Part of our interest into Steemit was the opportunity to spread the message to create a green planet. While we have the Green Lobitos and Green Piedritas Projects in our community, the chance to reach a larger audience with our projects excited us. When @intrepidsurfer told us about his Steem Forest Campaign we knew we had to participate and encourage others to go out and plant in their communities.

Throughout the next few days, we’ll be posting a series of photos from Lobitos life. After we familiarize ourselves with the SteemIt community a little more, we’ll be releasing a proper ‘Introduce Yourself’ post. Stay tuned!
