If You Are Competing, You've Already Lost
competition is a zero-sum, finite game. Someone wins. Everyone else loses.
this is not open to debate.
this is the reality of competition.
the game has rules, players and a score. Winning is defined by scoring more points that anyone else.
in any competitive business, market or industry, there is a leader.
companies like Apple, Google and Amazon, on the other hand, do not have competitors.
they are either going to war with the status quo on an ongoing basis or they are developing robots (automation, computer controlled machine power, algorithmic computation and machine learning) that eat jobs.'
thats why Uber is developing Otto and Amazon is testing drones.
They are going to be replaced by automation.
see people in Silicon Valley think they've already won. but have they?
they are creating technology to compete with us, to replace us.
they are creating robots and AI in our image, they are creating competitors in a horizontal attempt at progress when we are in fact the apex of the vertical line.
if you're competing, you've already lost.
sorry AI, robots and cyborgs.
you're modeled after us, not the other way around.

thank u for reading.
I really like this concept for business but not consumers. I think competition in industry is good for us as we get great stuff for cheap!
Big fan of how Peter Theil covers this in his zero to one book!
And there's a lot more competing in reality. Good read.
