STEEMIT OPEN MIC - What music means to me @whatsthatcryptom

Music means the same to me as water means to plants, a glass of whiskey means to an alcoholic, and what ganja means to a rasta. Its life. It is what wakes me up in the morning, and nearly* always brings me to sleep. (*Nearly, sometimes the monotone sound of my wife´s snoring does the job too)

What kind of music genre do I like?

I always say: if it has more beats a minute then my heart, I like it.

Music is the same for me as a woman. The more passion it has, the more interesting it becomes. I love my music passionate, the same as I like my steak medium-rare. (unrelated)

But to be honest, I don't have a genre. I like almost every style of music because it completely depends on what my mood is at that moment. I am romantic too, so when I watch football I always give my wife a headset so she can listen to anything she likes when I am busy screaming at the TV. It´s our weekly moment we share together. Me watching football, she listening to Justin Bieber his new songs. (doing that for 8 years now and it works, try it)

My first piece of music I want to share that relates to my home country and gives me goosebumps every time we go is the Belgian festival Tomorrowland. This is a set of Belgian DJ´s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Me and my wife or on this video btw. (Our eyes are always like that and we chew on our lips all the time, we didn't not take XTC...:P)

At home, when chilling I love to listen to dreamy music and reggae.

1 Song had so much impact on me, my life, my career, my future that it is going to go in this blog. I moved from Belgium to Spain as I had too much stress and started to get the feeling I just could kill someone. This was not the life I planned for me or my family. We went traveling for some while and the next song I played every single day. This song made me do drastic things. I sold what we had left, and moved to the sun.

Now life is great, the sun shines.

What song moved me the most

My past hasn't been the most pretty one, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Moving away was the best decision I made in my life and I encourage to everyone who is not happy in the situation they are right now, to just step away. That might sound harsh and difficult. Welcome to life.

In Belgium, I had a restaurant, so you can imagine where all the stress came from. It is never-ending high level of stress because you HAVE to perform at your best, all the time. People expect to get great food, all the f time.
We have closed the restaurant 5 days a week with the same song, for 9 straight years. So I am going to close this post with the song I have heard, played and cried on the most.

It is a Belgian Artist, he passed away. This is Gorky with Mia. (It is in my native language)

This song will be played at my funeral.
