My first experience as a community curator

Today is Friday, January 3, 2024 I went to school early in the morning to do some important assignments. It was very quiet at school as the rest of my friends were still enjoying their day off.

Although I enjoy working alone, working alone allows me to concentrate more on what I am doing. Of course, this can make the work faster and more complete.

After completing some important tasks I then continued the work of curating using the steemcurator06 account, this was my first day and first job as a community curator.

Of course, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Steemit Team for choosing our team in January 2025 to be the curator team. It is a valuable opportunity and happiness for me when starting activities in January 2025.

On previous occasions I have applied several times to become a curator team, but each time applying has not produced maximum results. By being given this opportunity I feel grateful that the Steemit Team has given me the opportunity, I am committed to carrying out this work professionally.

In carrying out my duties as a community curator, I try to find and check posts that really have quality, in my own opinion, quality posts are posts that can provide new ideas and ideas and contain educational value. But unfortunately it is not easy to find many posts like what I expect.

In addition, in carrying out the work of a community curator I try to provide wider opportunities to users who are less noticed, but still pay attention to the quality of the posts that have been made.

I have a responsibility to the community that I have established, so first of all I need to check all the posts in the teacher and student communities.

It is not easy to do my job as a community curator, I spend three hours in the morning, three hours in the afternoon and three hours at night. ⌚ In selecting posts I am not in a hurry, I compare one post with another before I select and curate.

Then after reading it I make sure that the post does not contain AI, in addition to reading I also use tools to detect whether the content is detected AI and plagiarism. This work takes longer because the tool works must be supported by adequate internet speed.

After finishing the work I continued by filling in the data in the spreadsheet, this report is needed by my team to make a report at the end of the week. In addition, the data in this report can be a clue for our team to provide fair curation, not just voting for the same people over and over again.

The data in this report can also be a clue to how many communities have been visited, and it can also help us to curate according to a certain proportion of country representation. We would like to cover many countries but unfortunately, there are only a few countries that have many active participants such as Venezuela, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Pakistan.
