Steemeum | JSE COIN - Pool mining experiment started

To see if Steemeum could also reward the users with JSE coins we started a experiment with the web miner JSE Coin provides for website publishers.

The idea of JSE Coin is to have a miner platform with equal changes for individuals and publishers. Instead of traditional mining where the most and best hardware dominates and make it something unfair for individuals.

For Steemeum which is a virtual mobile miner that works with proof of time, the time the users are committed to make sure to run the app and race other users by gathering time, the idea is a bit the same where we are also helping individuals and reward them with a bit of SBD for there mined time and provide equal chances for individuals.

JSE Coin is a ECR20 token that aims to be a alternative for advertisement on websites and as a new way to fund projects and initiatives. Instead of advertisement, they introduce also the option to give some of the visitors device resources to the project/website you want to support and that have there plugin on there website.

Use the Steemeum website to mine for JSE coins.

What is the Steemeum - JSE Coin pool mining experiment about?

With this JSE experiment we, Steemeum users, and as well all Steemeum website visitors have now the option to click on the JSE Experiment button Open Miner, this will open the Steemeum - JSE web miner and after clicking on the Start mining button, it starts mining for JSE Coins, in opposite to the Steemeum virtual miner app that work with proof of time mechanism, this JSE web miner will use some resources because it is POW (proof of work miner with additional features to equally reward the users) (resources used for mining are limited, to still be able to browse normally, this is one of the key points as well for the JSE project, to be able to successfully replace advertisements on
suitable websites with a user friendly mining solution. )

Just opening the Steemeum - JSE Miner experiment page, and even using / mining with it for shorter times (few minutes) can already generate some JSE coins for the weekly Steemeum pool.

What will Steemeum do with the generated JSE Coin pool ?

The mined coins will be split in two parts one part (50%) will be payed out in the same way we pay out SBD rewards. Users mine time with the Steemeum app, and the users that mine the most time that week / where the most committed to Steemeum, will then also get the biggest part of that weekly JSE pool, the other 50% is to further fund the Steemeum project, development and pay for project expanses, as well to have a JSE coin backup to fill the pool with when generate JSE coins are lesser that week. Those JSE coins can in the future also be used on the still to be released JSE ad exchange to buy and exchange conventional advertisement space on websites with JSE plugins.

How is the JSE experiment currently going ?

We started around a week ago and have ask the Steemeum testers if they would be interested in JSE coin rewards, and the response was positive and several users where already using the JSE Coin web / mobile miner software. This made us decide to further look into it and this resulted in the first step of adding the JSE webminer to the Steemeum website and have a way to easy mine for those JSE coins, and in the last week over 50 unique users have used the Steemeum - JSE web mining experiment for parts of the day, and this generated so far a total of 683 JSE coins. In value currently not that much worth, the project is young and the market is currently still overall bad, but in whole coins and the potential of the coins and project, it is still very interesting to continue with this experiment.

One of the worries was that there would maybe be not enough weekly whole JSE Coins to send out, though not all Steemeum users will get a JSE coin wallet, it looks like we could implement JSE rewards for the Steemeum users and we would then be sending out in the current situation around +/- 30 to maybe 50 JSE coins per week to the first second and third place, and lower amounts of coins to the lower ranked places.

The JSE project is relatively new and we don't know how difficult it will be to generate a JSE reward pool in the near future, but are willing to further experiment with it to see where it can go. there was also one whole day during the experiment where new coins didn't come in although we where mining.

We are in contact with one of JSE coins technical members, and have explained the concept of this JSE Coin implementation into Steemeum, and for possible future cooperation we will get further in contact with the JSE coin team, to expand and explore the possibilities of this integration.

Opportunities for Steem, Steemeum and JSE

For JSE the opportunity is to welcome more Steem users to JSE trough Steemeum, and with the integrations of JSE Coin rewards, some of the userbase of JSE could over time become with it Steem users as well, those users are familiar with alternative ways of (mobile) mining, and the integration of JSE would further help to fulfill the goal of Steemeum as a mobile mining community. We welcomed new users to Steem and Steemeum from Electroneum, Phoneum, and Twitter and it would be good to be able to welcome JSE users as well with the integration of JSE Coin rewards into Steemeum.

The scheduled JSE Ad-Exchange program could help to advertise Steemeum and Steem on other (crypto) websites in the near future which can be a huge opportunity to reach more users.

JSE is also on Steem

Hi,
I'm participating in the JSE mining experiment, and I think it's going fine! The idea to give users an opportunity to mine both Steem Dollars and JSEcoins, fusing them in one project is just amazing! Let me tell you why.
In my opinion, Steem/SBD is one of the most successful coins in terms of direct use cases: apart from trading it for other cryptos or fiat, you can use it power up your Steemit account, thus increasing your blogging opportunities.
JSEcoin is a promising alternative to major coins like Monero. It's just about the only coin that can still be profitably mined on a laptop or a desktop PC. Moreover, mining JSE is environment-friendly (as it doesn't require much electricity) and perfectly ethical (you mine it on third-party websites only if you choose to do so). It is clear that JSEcoin, with its current price around $0.0017, is severely undervalued. It almost reached the $0.005 before the overall market crash, and I'm sure it will grow much more.
Therefore, putting Steem and JSEcoin together means huge opportunities, and I'm very excited about it!
