RE: Could Metalpay Be The App That Takes Steem Mainstream?
We tested the app on iOS, it’s ok, but the steem wallet side is very limited. You can hold a balance of steem but you can’t do anything with it. You can’t send it to anyone or yourself to power up. You can trade I presume and sell it. It’s a bit of a lame duck right now.

Thanks for the review @teamhumble.
Hopefully they add some more features to it. I do not know what the goal is other than making it tradeable.
Since it is an app that isn't on Steem per se, I guess it is just a bland wallet that allows one to buy, sell and hold STEEM.
Not as exciting as being a fully functioning app in it.
Maybe the app will take off and give STEEM some publicity if nothing else. The tie in is of interest at least.
absolutely that's why we gave it a go. i started an account @cryptocards a long time ago but after the first crypto card i ordered got blocked by the whole gilbratar wavecrest thing i gave up on it. i'm thinking of expanding that blog again to be cards, exchange services and just gateways -- so yeah, i got my partner who lives in one of those states to get herself setup -- i think the transfer although a little slow worked i'm guessing they are kinda held back by that right now -- a case of hope of hype to be able to unlock the next round of funding maybe but it's a certain a pretty frontend -- my favorite digital wallet/service right now is wirex, it's got an unreal app, so well thought out and if they supported steem that would be my wallet of choice.
Yes and Wirex has a Visa debit card with which you can spend your crypto.
