RE: Cryptid Hunter – STEEM Blockchain-Based TCG P2E Game Migration Proposal

in #steemdev2 days ago

To start this service, users need to purchase card packs. 40% of this cost will be added to the Rewards Pool, and the STEEM in this Rewards Pool will be given to users who compete and win through PvP and the guild system.

Ah, so you mean it's a fund controlled by the game and given as a reward to players of the game, not the blockchain's reward pool?

There are no smart contracts in STEEM. The rewards pool must be stored and distributed in a separate account.

You mentioned this feature in a section with a headline about "Steem blockchain", and "reward pool" has a specialized meaning when talking about Steem so I thought it was a reference to that (and I didn't see how it would be possible for you to get Steem into the blockchain's rewards pool). But it seems like you're using "rewards pool" not in reference to the Steem blockchain's reward pool, but to a more generalized concept, where you also could have called it a "prize pool" or something similar but you just happened to choose the term "rewards pool". Is that correct?

Yes, generally we are designing the concept as a reward pool. This is the same concept as a Prize Pool.

We did not ask for another reward pool like STEEM rewards to sustain the service. If this were possible, the game would definitely be more attractive. But it seems unlikely that it will be approved by DAO. :)
