@steemcleaners My first catch!

Hi @steemcleaners. Congrats on putting together this coalition to protect Steemit from spammers, plagiarists and the like.

I'm far from an influential or prolific user but have always been wary of this. Having caught one or two plagiarists in recent weeks I've found some satisfaction in flagging and making their dodgy activities known in the comments.
It's cool that efforts like @steemcleaners will actually provide a real incentive to encourage people like me to actively seek out this behaviour. I'm happy to participate and will probably continue to do so.

Check out user @djbush420

Nothing too earth-shattering. A relatively new account that just continuously posted 'funny' cat compilation videos (to no avail, thankfully) then went quiet. They only made a few cents each - though it amazes me that people were actually upvoting them in the first place.

I can't decide whether it's just a troll account or whether it was a really half-baked, lame attempt to game the system and make a few quick dollars by stealing compilation videos from Youtube.

One to keep an eye on anyway.

Keep on fighting the good fight!

Remember those kids in school who wanted to be the hall monitors.. They grew up. ;)

I hope this project stops people from flagging things that shouldn't be flagged. Good luck on your new venture.

The overt business opportunity spam and outright plagiarised content reposting that has ruined some other startup social platforms like Tsu and FutreNet is thankfully being held at bay on Steemit.

Yeah I guess it comes with the territory, particularly on a platform like this where direct financial reward is the core incentive for use. Thankfully the community are on top of it here.
