On one occasion the scribes and Pharisees brought Jesus to a woman caught in adultery and told him: in the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. You * What do you say? * At their insistence, Jesus answered:
** "He who is without sin among you is the first to throw the stone at her" **. But none could do it, because they were all accused by their conscience. One by one they left and when the woman was left alone with Jesus he told her:
"Neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more."

I want to share with you some verses that tell you that in Jesus there is forgiveness.

!

In his ministry Jesus affirmed that this was his purpose.

Mark 2: 9
What is easier, to say to the paralytic: Your sins are forgiven, or to say to him: Get up, take your bed and walk?

He also announced that he had the power to forgive sins because in the agony on the cross, his first word was: "Father, forgive them because they do not know what they are doing". Christ died for our sins and was resurrected to give us the possibility to return to communion with God through repentance (Romans 4:25). That is why John affirmed "God did not send his son to the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved by him" and Peter wrote "God's will is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance".

John 8:24
That is why I told you that you will die in your sins; because if you do not believe that I am, in your sins you will die.

Although Christ died for all, some will accept his sacrifice, forsake his sin, believe in him and be forgiven, but others will die in his obstinacy.

Our condition of sin separated us from God and not only that, but we were under a curse. But thanks to the sacrifice he made on the cross he provides us with forgiveness through his death.

✤ Romans 5: 8 But God shows his love for us, in that while we are still sinners, Christ died for us.(He died in our place)
✤ Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree).
✤Thus our faults were annulled and our position before God changed; We were made righteous by his unjust death (1 Peter 1:18): blessed by the curse that weighs on Him, receiving life for his death and resurrection. He took our place on the cross; we must take our place in the world LIVING A HOLY AND FAIR LIFE.

Luke 23: 39-43
39 And one of the evildoers who were hanged insulted him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us.
40 Responding to the other, he rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, being in the same condemnation?
41 We, indeed, suffer, because we received what our deeds deserved; but this one did no evil.
42 And he said to Jesus: Remember me when you come into your kingdom.
43 Then Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.

When we see Jesus on the cross, we understand the forgiveness God offers us, but we must also turn our eyes and see the repentant thief and learn from him what true repentance means. The thief teaches us to:

✤Recognize that sin condemns us. He did not continue to participate with the other thief in cursing Jesus, but he rebuked him.

✤ Recognize the justice of God. He assumed responsibility for his sin and was not justified in front of Jesus blaming others for his misfortune. When we stop showing our filthy rags before God! With sincerity, let us assume the responsibility of our sins, as did David, who confessed "against you, against you I have only sinned" and as the prodigal son did.

✤ Recognize Jesus as the lamb without spot or pollution, who was offered and sacrificed for our sins. Referring to Jesus the thief said * "this did no evil" *.

✤ Cry the mercy of God. This made the thief repentant and Jesus guaranteed forgiveness.

It is good to affirm that without Jesus there is no forgiveness. I am forgiven for our faith in Jesus. If you justify yourself before God, your sins will condemn you, but if you assume your guilt, your sins are forgiven.

God will cleanse your dross deep Isaiah 1:25.

"I want you to learn this great truth: when you confess a Jesus as your savior your guilt is taken away When you confess your faults to the Lord, your soul and your body are children of all their impurities. (Isaias 6:7)
