Power Of Revelation Knowledge
Matthew 16:17-18
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Revelation knowledge is the key to revolution. Revelation knowledge is the knowledge that comes to the heart of man of the Word by the Spirit. in Matthew 16 Jesus asked His disciples, ”Who do people say that I, the Son of Man, am?’, and they said some say John the Baptist, Some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He then turned to them and said: ”But who do you say that I am?” Silence rocked the whole atmosphere, then Simon spoke up and said: ”You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Then Jesus answered and said to him: "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven."
And He went on to say, ’And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Simon, a reed; and an unstable being, was transformed into Peter, a piece of rock, stable and abiding. What changed? He caught light of who Jesus is, not from the senses, but from the Father. The Spirit illuminated his heart with the light of the Word, who Jesus is, and that transformed and reinforced his personality. Amazing, isn't it? Revelation knowledge of the Word is all you need to move from where you are to where you ought to be. Sense knowledge comes from the 5 physical senses, but it lacks power to transform. Revelation knowledge comes from the Spirit of God to our spirit, of or about the Word.
Gideon was timid and caving in to the tyranny of the Midianites; he was threshing wheat in a wine press. But the angel of the Lord appeared unto him and said: ”You are a mighty man of valour; the Lord is with you!” That changed everything about him. Before the encounter he had with the angel of the Lord, he was in doubt as to the miracles that their fathers told them God wrought, but after the encounter, he was ready to fight the Midianites. He had become a transformed man by revelation knowledge. The will of God was revealed to him, and he knew that God was with him and he was a mighty man of valour, contrary to the image he had held of himself. By revelation, he became a transformed man through whom God brought deliverance to Israel from the hands of the Midianites.

We should walk in the light of God's word and refuse to cave into the pressures of life, we should see ourselves the way God sees us according to his word and declare that we are taught of the lord and great is our peace.
