EVIL DIVERSION

The bible affirms that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil(1 John 3:8). One of such works is evil diversion.

Life is like a journey, and when you say a journey, it must have three parts I'm it, There must be a beginning, there must be the course of the journey and an end. All journey can be described like that.
God has a divine purpose for each and everyone of us as Individuals. The main point you should note here is that God is not in the business of messing about. God has a reason for allowing your mum and dad to give birth to you. He has no useless activity.

One of the most terrible and effective ways of amputating a person's life and for destroying his potential is what is know as satanic diversion.

WHAT IS DIVERSION

---

Diversion is turning aside from course that is supposed to be followed. Diversion is a change of direction to an alternative route when the normal route is not used. Diversion is something designed to take attention away from the main course.
Diversion is a change of direction.

In Jonah 1 : 1-17, the bible gives an instance of diversion.

“Jonah 1 King James Version (KJV)
Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.
Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?
And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the
LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.
Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.
Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.
And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.
So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.
Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”

My question is this:
What was the spirit that told Jonah to change his destination? After God had said,

“Go to Nineveh.”

Jonah decided to go to Tarshish. Those are the spirit we are talking about. So everybody should be concerned. The fact that somebody is prophet does not mean that occasionally he would not be diverted. This is what is called evil diversion.

Major evil diversions take place in darkness.
Why?
It is because deception is very easy in the darkness. The evil diversion on human life tales place after the enemy has succeeded in dragging his victims into darkness. In darkness, deception is very easy. Therefore, the longer the person stays in darkness before he runs to Jesus, the deeper the enemy will work in the person's life and sometimes, the longer it would take to clean the person up after he escaped.

Below is a story from the sermon I heard in church to aid our understanding of this anointed message on this post:

A man was in cult for about thirty years. He eventually gave his life to the Lord, but because he had been so long in the cult, he had several charms to surrender. He began to hand them over to Jesus. They were so many that the pastor had to buy gallons or kerosene and boxes of matches regularly, waiting for when the man would bring the next batch of charms for burning. However, the man forgot that a long time ago, somebody gave him some eggs which he swallowed and right inside his stomach the eggs hatched into chicken. The chicken inside the stomach used to help him kill other people.
Then as he too began to pray:

“Holy Ghost fire, come upon my life.”

Anytime he prayed the prayer, the birds would get agitated; they began to punch and eat up his intestine. He didn't know why he was bleeding and could not eat, until he remembered about the birds.

According to the story from the sermon, ministers of God prayed for him until he vomited the life birds.
The interesting part is by the time the birds had finished with his intestines, doctors had to do surgeries on his intestine and till today wonder what cut the intestine. So the point of this is the longer somebody stays in darkness, the deeper the enemy will work out his agenda in the person's life.

If the devil starts to study us when we are in darkness and sees that when we escape from there, we are going to be very dangerous to his kingdom, he would try and make sure he and his cohorts leave enough terrible marks in our lives.
Darkness is an easy place for evil work to thrive.

Our best friends can give us a bg punch In darkness and because we cannot see, we won't know who did.

I attend a pentecostal church so the deep things of the spirit of God are taught highly. The spiritual world is the most interesting place we can think of. It is also the reason God does not open the eyes of so many Christians.
If God opens our eyes, we will adjust ourselves when we see what those who we call best friends really are. That is why the Bible admonishes us to walk in the light . When we walk in the light, we cannot be diverted.

Many are of us are in the wrong road now because when we were in darkness the enemies who saw the goal of our lives do eternal then into the wrong journey by satanic intelligence. Although we are Christians, but long before we/he/she became a Christian, the course of our journey in had Been diverted.

• The purpose of evil diversion is to take us far away from God,
• The purpose of evil diversion is to ensure that the purpose of life is not achieved,
• The purpose of evil diversion is to open avenues for demonic provision and domination, because once you are in the wrong journey God will be saying,
  “I expected this man in Nineveh and he is going to Tarshish; anything can happen to him,”
• The purpose of evil diversion is to hold others in bondage,
• The purpose of evil diversion is to push us to hell fire.
• The purpose of evil diversion is to prevent us from reaching his or her goal.
• The purpose of evil diversion is to remove us from the place of divine blessings.

So beloved, let's pray that every evil diversion be destroyed from our lives
And this can only happen when God delivers us from darkness.
