Radical Faith

There is a faith that won’t take no for an answer. So many times we like to spiritualize something by saying, “Well Sometimes God says no”. Yes he answers every prayer, but sometimes the answer is no. But you know I cannot find this notion in the Bible.

2Co 1:20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

When I was very young, my dad would promise to take me fishing next Saturday. When the promise was given to me early in the week, I began counting the days. Every day I asked how many more days until Saturday. I would also rehearse the promise in my mind and say it out loud. “Daddy is going to take me fishing,”

When the day finally arrived, I would wake up early and begin to knock on my parents bedroom door. I would open the door and climb up on the bed and begin to pull on my dad to wake him up and take me fishing.

I think he was king that he was asleep to make a sort of game out it. He would also see how determined I was to go fishing, Or possibly I would give up! NOT A CHANCE!

You see I knew my daddy was good to his promise and I would never give up until we were actually on the bank of a river or lake. Perhaps we went in the canoe, but we were going to fish and I was not going to take no for an answer.

I believe this kind of persistence pleases God. We find a promise and we decide we will not take no for an answer.

Jacob

Gen 32:26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

The angel said to let him go, Jacob said now way. I will not let you go until you bless me

God is looking for people of this kind of determined faith.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

This woman was not going to take no for an answer from Jesus and Jesus marveled at her faith.

Mar 7:25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Mar 7:26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Mar 7:27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
Mar 7:28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
Mar 7:29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
Mar 7:30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

If we read this story, seemingly Jesus just called this woman a dog. So many would have gotten offended and left. But this mother’s concern for her daughter and her radical faith really impressed Jesus

After what sounded like a No, this mother received a miracle from Jesus. She would not take NO for an answer.

The same story told in Matthew. This is what the writer records of Jesus

Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

So many times we are waiting passively on God for Him to come into our lives or situation to do something for us. When I believe God is waiting on us to believe the promise, to know His character and to dig our heals in in faith and prayer. Like Jacob, “I will not let you go until you bless me!” Radical faith that does not back down or give in.

WHATEVER YOUR NEED IS! THE PROMISES ARE ALL YES AND AMEN IN CHRIST JESUS. WE GO TO GOD IM HUMILITY AND RADICAL FAITH. PUTTING A DEMAND ON HEAVEN BASED ON THE PROMISES OF GOD. I BELIEVE GOD LOVES THIS.
