ALWAYS PRAY AND DON'T GIVE UP!

Are you going through one of the hard times when it seems every attempt to get a problem solved meets another difficulty? You tend to be grateful to God on one circumstance before you sleep and you wake up to see that the problem is yet to be solved rather another adds. Or you have prayed to God to grant your wish and you have waited for too long, yet your wish is not granted?

What is Prayer?

Prayer is not coercing God to do what we want or what we desire. It is a process of acknowledging His power and plan for our lives. In prayer, we commit our lives and circumstances to God, trust Him to do His will in His way and in His time.

Let's consider few people in the Bible that prayed fervently

• Daniel

One of the times Daniel prayed to God for a gift in the Bible. God answered him that moment. But can you remember what actually happened? God gave an angel to deliver the gift to him but he was accosted and stopped by the prince of Persia (an evil spiritual entity). The angel was delayed for 21 days, fighting and struggling to get Daniel's gift delivered but he could not. So God sent angel Michael (warrior) to get the gift and deliver it to Daniel. Daniel got his gift and was happy.

• Parable of the Persistent Widow

It's very common and unfair that many widows get oppressed because of one reason or the other. The parable that Jesus told His disciples in the Bible was about a widow that wanted justice to prevail, thereby going to the Judge in the town. Many times the judge refused and rejected her but she never gave up. Finally, the judge agreed to help her.

Key Lessons

1. Daniel never gave up, he consistently prayed for that 21 days without knowing all what happened. My brethren, you don't know whether God has answered your prayer, probably something is delaying the answer, keep praying and never give up.

2. This widow never gave up. She was persistent! She had hope that one day the judge would grant her request.

As we rely on God's grace not only for the result of our request or prayer but the process, we can consistently pray to God in prayer. He always listens and hears us! Let us be encouraged to "ALWAYS PRAY AND DON'T GIVE UP"

REQUEST

Do you have or know anybody that is passing through difficulties or needs prayer in one way or the other, kindly find some minutes to pray for them. You know what, God has assigned someone you may not know to pray for you too, so taking up the call to pray for someone should not be difficult for you as well.

Perhaps you have a difficulty in life and you can't share with someone, trust me, God understands and knows your battle. It is only God we have direct access to unlike men in position. Reach out to Him today, He cares and He loves you.
