in #steemchurch6 years ago

Evangelism is pivotal to the growth of the church and of course one of the machinery to fulfill the Great commission. Through evangelism, we can carry the message of freedom to the lost and they will come to the knowledge of the Truth - JESUS CHRIST.

Am joyed to share with you our latest tract for evangelism in my locality. It talks about the mystery of he New life in Christ.

The mystery of this new life in Christ is His love for us which motivated Him to die for us. It compelled, constrained, confined Him, and left no room for an option. Christ died as the substitute for all; therefore He died as the representative of all and all died in Him. Although the pain of death was Christ’s alone, the benefit of His death is given to those who trust Him. Now comes the big questions:

  • Are you among those who trust Him?
  • Do you believe that He died for all? 2 Corinthians 5: 14
  • Do you believe that all have died in Him?
  • Are you sure that you have also died with Him?
  • Are you living for Him who died for you and was raised again (2 Corinthians 5: 15).
  • Are you sure you are in Christ or where? 2 Corinthians 5: 17.
  • Are you truly a new creation and old things in you have passed away?

A response in affirmation to the above is an indication of a new thing happening in a man's life. Each persons who affirms the above truly deserves a congratulations.

The Mysteries

1. Crucifixion of the Old Sinful nature

Beloved, the mystery of this new life in Christ means that our old sinful nature was crucified with Christ. The body of sin had been done away with and that we should no longer be slaves to sin (Romans 6: 6) for he who died had been freed from sin (Romans 6: 7). “Those who died with Christ must also live with Him…” (v.8).

2. The New life for all who believe

Since Christ died to sin once and for all; but the life He lives, He lived to God and all who are in Him are to experience the same kind of life (v.10). In Galatians 2: 20, Paul said “I am crucified with Christ…” This should also be our confession. All believers have been crucified with Christ on the cross. We have died to the law as means of salvation and now we live through Christ for God (Galatians 2: 19); because of salvation in Christ, sin no longer has control over us (Romans 6: 11; 4: 14, Galatians 5: 24). Christ and His strength lives within us becoming the source of all of life and the centre of all our thoughts, words and deeds (John 15: 1-6). Through the Holy Spirit, Christ’s risen life is continually communicated to us (John 16: 13-14 and Romans 8: 10-11)

3. The Call to Action

In Romans 10: 9 -10, the scripture points to action that can be taken to unravel this mystery and enjoy this newness of life.

  • By believing in our heart that God raised Jesus Christ from death makes us right with God;
  • By only confessing Jesus as our Lord saves you from all our sins.

If you've not yet believed that God raised Jesus from the dead and you've not yet confesses Him as your Lord, you can do it NOW!

God bless you.

Thank you for sharing, I fully believe that Jesus died for my sins.

Great share @Prettyglo. We must believe in our heart and confess with our mouth to unravel this mystery for our good.

New life in Christ is one of the foundation teaching that helped me as a young Christian. It is important you know who you are in Christ.
