A Story for Steem Church - God will make a way

Feeling discouraged or out of sorts? Feel like throwing in the towel and giving up? God is saying to you that he will lift you up out of the ashes and take you to a new place. Have you ever been in a situation where everything seems to be going wrong? its like dominoes, one after the other problems just keep piling up and it seems like it's never going to end, but it will for God says in Jer 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope

Let me tell you a story:

a boy's family is struggling to feed at home and then his dad loses his government job which he has been holding for the past 20 years, that means he has to start over looking for work, but he is already in his fifties. The boy's mother on her way from the market gets into an accident and is hospitalized. The little money that was saved up for the boy's school fees along with feeding money from the month is barely enough to take care of the mother's hospital bills. The boy goes with his father to visit his mother in the hospital and meets her lying down unconscious. He tries to fight back tears but he finds that he cannot. Why has God chosen to turn His back on his family? At school, he is sent out of the examination hall because his fees are still pending. What did he do to deserve all this? He tries to but doesn't seem to find the strength to pray, still weeping, his ears pick up on a familiar song by Don Moen "God will make a way." The song was coming from his neighbor's house. The lyrics of the song are soothing and comforting and the young boy soon starts to sing along

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

He works in ways we cannot see,

He will make a way for me

He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side

With love and strength, for each new day

He will make a way, He will make a way

The boy soon finds that his tears have dried up, he was smiling and felt as if all of his troubles had been taken from him. A week later, his mother was discharged from the hospital and though her cuts and bruises were not fully healed, she seemed like she was going to be okay.

Seventeen years later, the boy is looking out the window from his office, he is now a man. He could see all of the city from there, "what a great view he had" the CEO of a thriving transport company. His trip down memory lane had brought hot tears streaming down his cheek and once again he started singing that song that had given him comfort all those years ago. He is proof of God's ability to turn situations around!

Dear Steemians, I do not know where you are in your life right now or what you're going through, but whatever it is, just know that there is a light at the end of that tunnel and that God has promised to never leave nor forsake you. He will make a way for you!
