Does God change his mind??????
This has been one strange question people always ask. Does God change his mind?
source
Malachi 3:6
For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
I personally believe God is supreme and unique in whatever he does. God does not say this today and say another tomorrow. Just like he said, my word cannot return to me void instead it must accomplish its mission. God is not a man that he should lie, what he said he will do, that he will he do. But in order for me not to leave the main question, does God change his mind?. yes he does.
With a brief explanation of that, he does in the sense that there’s a change of attitude when people exhibit a retrogressive behavior. E.g, when God pass a judgment message to the people of ancient Israel, this is what he said
“Perhaps they will listen and each one will turn back from his evil way, and I will change my mind concerning the calamity that I intend to bring on them because of their evil deeds.”
—Jeremiah 26:3.
God’s immutability.
Looking at Exodus 32:14 which proclaims that the LORD relented and did not send forth His people the disaster He had threatened.” Looking very closely, these verses speak of the Lord “repenting” or “relenting” of something he has said before and therefore seem to contradict the doctrine of God’s immutability.
By saying that God is immutable what I mean is that he is consistently the same in his eternal being. God is not young nor old, he never came into existence and won’t stop existing.
Is God sorry that he created humans?
Genesis 6:6
And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Although God is not sorry that he created man, he only regretted it because man/people have always rejected him. Just like in the days of Noah, the Bible actually recorded that “Jehovah regretted that he had made men on the earth, and his heart was saddened.”
In my own conclusion, I would say that God doesn’t change his mind after making a promise for no reason, but when he makes a promise to anyone and the person decides to go contrary to his will, then he changes his mind on the promise. And also when God decides to punish a nation for their evil doings, if they realized they were wrong and repent immediately, God is prompt to forgiveness. Take the people of Nineveh as a reference point on this.

Finally, my advice to you all is to obey God and keep his commandments. Less he changes his mind on us.
God bless you all

God changes his mind most time because of heart especially the Bible says God changed his mind about most of the people who lived before the Flood because they had become wicked. (Genesis 6:5, 11 ) Even though he was saddened that they chose to follow a bad course, he did not change his attitude toward the entire human race. In fact, he preserved mankind through the Flood by means of Noah and his family . Genesis 8:21)

Lovely post
I definitely agree with you. God changes his mind regarding judgement. When he sees that people he had doomed for death change their ways, he can have a change of heart. This is evident in the case of Nineveh. Thanks for sharing.
