Consequences of Pride
James 4:10
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
We all need to be humble, because God resist the proud and give grace to the humble. When we hold on to pride, there are consequences that result. And I am here to show some to you, which are:
Isolation
Pride isolate a proud person from others. In other words, every proud person knows all and they don’t need anyone’s idea. When there’re in trouble they don’t want to ask for help from anyone, because they will not be able to admit they need help. And therefore they end up going into it alone and likely to go into destruction. Have you noticed that when you try to help a prideful person, they turn you away from helping and still they don’t know what they’re doing. This is the first consequence of pride #Isolation.
Disillusionment and Despair
Ecclesiastes 2:14-15
The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all. Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.
When you trust in yourself or have too much confidence in yourself and your self ability and wisdom, you will surely be let down. King Solomon who was a Wise man recognized that while he was considered as the wisest on earth, that his fate was the same as a fool. Pride brings about too much belief, and too much belief in yourself, is sometimes not good because it leads to disappointments.
Proverbs 16:18
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Lack of Break-through
I think this should be the most important one among all. Pride actually prevents break through and also prevent growth. Most reasons why proud people are stagnant in life is because they think they’ve arrived already. Prides takes you away from learning anything new.

- ARE YOU WILLING TO LEARN EVEN IN AN AREA WHERE YOU MAY BE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ACCOMPLISHED?
Well, my advice for you today is to dedicate yourself to becoming better, and open yourself to new strategies of life.

Pride comes before a fall. Every wise person would want to run away from pride. I wrote an article about a week ago, on how humility can open doors. A proud person is not one that is willing to learn/ be corrected, but on the contrast a humble person is willing to learn. Thanks for sharing this.

Pride limits an individual and causes self-isolation, humility attracts God's blessing.
For the Humble are wise and will inherit the kingdom of God.

Pride belittles a man into a downgraded version of himself. A man with pride can go nowhere in life because pride doesn't exonerate but degrades. Let us abstain from pride and be humble.

Good times will surely come, but in life, one has got to keep a cool head because pride comes before a fall.. Be humble and have faith in God... Greater things will come.

We have no power of our own, so there is no need thinking much of ourselves when we depend on God. When lift up ourselves, God withdraws his help in our lives and in the end we become nothing.
