There is no day that passes through our lives in which we do not have the opportunity to give a little of what we have. Giving is not about the amount of what we can offer, but about the intention to help and the attitude of preaching the love of Jesus, which permeates our actions.

Giving is an action that can be represented in many different ways each day: it can be, as we most commonly think, economically, but it can also be a way of helping. See someone with a problem, sympathize with that person, offer him the time to listen to him and sit down just to be there, with that person; that is to give.

How many times do we witness someone carrying a big problem on their own? How many times our social position, our knowledge, our experience in certain things and everything that we are, has been able to help other people? Why do we let envy sometimes blind us and turn us away from the path of help?

It is very important to realize and value everything we have to realize that everything we have is also everything we can offer our neighbor.

Giving is one of the most important teachings that Jesus left us and those that have the greatest impact on the construction of the world that God asks us to build: one of love, of faith, of helping others, without envy, without lies and following the word of the Lord

We also have to bear in mind that giving does not mean offering our neighbor what we have left alone. It is about making small sacrifices to help others, leaving aside some comforts that we can do without at certain moments to give others a moment of support. Giving is done without expecting anything in return, but when it is done, a better world is also built that affects our way of being for life.

There is something very pleasing in the action of offering others a bit of what is ours and that is that when it is done with love, that love is multiplied, enlarged and we can feel it close to us. We can feel the teachings of Jesus in our actions, the love of God in our steps, in our lives, when we give a little of ourselves to others.

We all have something to give. We all have the possibility of sacrificing a little of our time, our money, our work, our material positions and many other simple things, to help a little someone who needs more that we give.

Do not wait for situations in life to offer us the opportunity to give. Giving our neighbor a little of our lives can be something to do on our own initiative, at any time. If we feel the urge to offer someone else a little of the beauty of our lives, let's do it, without expecting anything in return and letting ourselves be embraced by the love of God.
