The Greatest Calling

1Ti 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

The greatest calling of all! The greatest calling is also the most neglected! Every true Christian has this calling, some are called specifically to this! The greatest privilege, the most effective, the most blessed calling is that of prayer!

Communing with God!

The absolute best part of prayer is fellowship with God! Prayer is a two way conversation. We speak with God, God speaks to us. We make our requests and He imparts wisdom and strength.

“Everything that is possible with God, is possible with us when we pray”. Because it is God we are talking to. We don’t just pray for a spiritual exercise. We pray to make a real difference in the world we live in.

Every good and eternal thing comes first from prayer. Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

*. Prayer brings heaven to earth!

• Prayer accomplishes what man cannot do on his own.
• Prayer brings God's will into man's arena.

As humans, we are so limited. Unless we have a walk of faith, humility, submission, holiness, led by the Spirit, interceding for the saints. As believers we have access to the throne of God! We have access to the One that can really make a difference. The God that loved this world so much He sent His Son! We have access to the One whose character is flawless, His love knows no bounds, His mercies are everlasting and new every morning. His Faithful, Just and True!

I believe it is His plan for us to believe His promises, to pray without ceasing.
When we see an injustice, someone starving, someone needing clothing, some sick, someone needing to hear the Good News. The homeless, the spiritually bound, someone hurting. We are to bring these before God, believing Him to answer our prayer for them.

Pray for people you see!
People you know and people you don't know.
Pray for the desirable and the undesirable.
Realize they need Jesus, just like you and I need Jesus! Realize Jesus is the answer for them, just like He is the answer for us!
Jesus is really the answer to absolute every thing that ails mankind!

There is no other answer!

Let's pray, lets believe, lets see the impossible become possible because of His Mercies. Let's let prayer change us, then change the world around us. Let heaven once again come to earth through our prayers. It is God's design!

Let's not neglect the highest of all the callings! Prayer!

Pray and preach!
Pray and give!
Pray and help!
Preaching without prayer is a useless exercise!
A preacher that is not a person prayer is no preacher at all!

When we see something, we pray, we are also to be willing to be the answer to that prayer.
If we see someone hungry and pray, then we are to feed them also.
How can we pray for the naked and not be willing to give away clothing?
How can we pray for a foreign or local missionary and not be willing to give of our wealth or time? Many times God's first choice is the one that saw the need first.

As we give. As we pray. God sees a person who He can trust with more.

When we became a Christian, every talent, our time, our resources and absolutely everything was turned over to Him! It is all His and God deremines where these things are used.
