THE BEST PART OF LIFE IS WHERE WE INVEST OUR HEARTS

Our son is truly the greatest blessing that God has given my wife and I. This photo was taken after we had him in our care for awhile. We first had him in our home at 15 months old. He would rarely or never smile. His great grandparents were taking care of him and he spent most of the time on a plastic chair near an infrequently travelled road. We saw him as we passed to where we were living at the time.

My wife asked his great grandparents if we could care for him at our house. We did not know at the time, how long it would be, but 5 years later he is still with us today and we hope to make it official by adopting him. I know I will be the happiest man alive on that day!

At the beginning he never smiled, but on the 4th night with us, he began to sing! Wow, his singing had no intelligible words, but it came from true joy in his heart. He had daily baths, lots of food, dry diapers and lots of love in our home. When I heard him sing, all I could do was cry! Such a blessing! Every day he is so happy and he has filled our hearts and home with love.

This is his first plane ride as we went to Cebu together.

This is one of my favorite things to do. One of life’s simple pleasures is a nap, but this pleasure is exponentially better when it is with your child!

Every day and every experience is much better when shared with our son. It is great to see the joy on his face and to try to see life through his eyes. I see him copying the way I stand and he has a great sense of humor. Smart and good looking! I look forward to see what kind of a man he becomes and perhaps get w chance to play with his children.

This is the most recent photo I have of him! That is my beautiful wife too! The day I heard him sing, I prayed to God that He would give me 100 more just like him.
