If we look at the original language this Salvation is not just body or only spiritual. Salvation for the entire person. Spirit, soul and body. Salvation means “Wholeness” in entirety

Context

Psa 88:2 Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
Psa 88:3 For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

Psa 88:9 Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

The psalmist is crying out in a prayer of desperation.

From the very beginning God has had a design and plan for the salvation of mankind.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Look at the wording in Abraham’s statement. This is prophecy! On this very same mountain where Jesus was Crucified. “God Will Provide Himself a Lamb.

Many miss the truth of prophecy that there are many times two fulfillments of the prophecy. Something in the immediate future and then at a much later date. This is especially true of Messianic Prophecy. God provided His Own sacrifice first as a ram was sound stuck in a thicket to provide a sacrifice for Abraham. But the prophecy to me is amazing, “He provide Himself as a Lamb or Sacrifice”. Jesus died on the very same place as the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the World. This is the God of our Salvation!

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
