Beautiful word, usually applicable to a friend who is always with you and who thank God for his life, but when we have to live a situation in which we ourselves must embody this word, how difficult it becomes!
Studying the context quickly, what is being friend? Particularly the word show means behaving or making oneself known. Being friends when both are in agreement, when they share good times, joys, feelings or emotions, even those things that are difficult to talk to God, is good and perfect, but be known when you think differently, or in situations of difficulty, then what to do?
When Jesus quoted these words: No one has greater love than this one, that one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13, was perfectly referring to show (make known) friend, we all want to have friends who are always with us, when we need them are there, but what about us? We can not WAIT to HARVEST what we have NOT SOWN.
