STEEMCHURCH: and the chains fell off..... Paul and Silas...
whenever Paul and Silas are captured, it's partly a direct result of their Jewish origin. There had dependably been a strain amongst Judaism and the Roman Empire, and Philippi, where this occurred, was, extremely Roman. Paul and Silas are the casualties of a level of anti-Semitism here. In any case, they both have Roman citizenship, and it was absolutely illicit to detain Roman residents without trial, to the degree that some place like Philippi could wind up in a bad position in the event that they violated this law. We see this the following morning, when they're discharged with a statement of regret.
So it's extremely the narrative of an unsuccessful labor of equity, yet amidst it there's another story, the tale of an earthquake that breaks the chains of the prisoners, discharging them from the stocks in which they'd been held. But then Paul, Silas and their kindred detainees don't accept the open door to get away. For what reason not?
Imagine a scenario where it's about more than the earthquake.
Imagine a scenario where it's tied in with something different.
Imagine a scenario where the seismic tremor wasn't such a great amount about Paul's flexibility as it was about opportunity for the prison guard.
All things considered, he's the individual here with the most to lose. Paul and Silas can get themselves discharged the second they specify their Roman citizenship, however the prison guard? All things considered, if any detainees gets away, he's responsible. What's more, that implies he could get executed. That is the reason he's going to fall without anyone else sword – in his mind it's the fair way out. Paul and Silas are profoundly free despite the fact that they're tied up; the prison guard is anchored by obligation, desires and dread. We never take in the person's name, yet God adores him enough to ensure he hears the gospel in an especially fabulous manner.
What's more, keep in mind alternate detainees. They've spent the night hearing petition and love. Perhaps some of their otherworldly chains were broken as well.
What's more, that is the congregation's activity, one of them in any event – to enable God to break a few chains, notwithstanding for those we think don't merit it – all things considered, alternate detainees were most likely blameworthy. Paul and Silas' activities in the jail, even the seismic tremor, are demonstrations of beauty. The energy of Paul's witness and the affection for God freed everyone around them, and I'm not in any case beyond any doubt that Paul anticipated that it would happen, in light of the fact that God conveys freedom to the slightest expected individuals at any rate expected circumstances. That was Paul's story, and now it's the account of the corrections officer.
That is the reason crafted by our chapels is so imperative. When we're following what God needs us to do, we're not just purposely assembling his kingdom – through our administrations and our services and our connections – but on the other hand we're engaged with a story and a mission that we don't have a clue about the closure of, that is going ahead all through the world. We're joined with devotees all through the world in a wonderful, organized kingdom, and we don't know or see the half of what God is doing.
Even in the prison with no hope of a release, Paul and Silas still had enough faith in God, knowing He would deliver them. They ceased not prayer and they got miraculous results.

The story of Paul and Silas is one to learn from. How the faith and trust in God of apostle Paul led to the turning of heart of men. Even the prison guard had a change of heart, headed towards service to God.
In had situations, if we believe and remember that he is our personal save, wherever we may find ourselves, his miracles may follow us.
Today some of you may be like Paul and Silas and you are believers. Do you share the Good News with others knowing that the Holy Spirit will enable you to do so? If you face difficulty you can trust that the Holy Spirit will give you the ability to stay focused on God and not complain. Maybe you are like the Philippian jailer. Do you know what you must do to be saved? Today you can have your sins forgiven and have eternal life. In order to be saved you must believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.
Excellent post. This is truly An austounding story. The apostle Paul not only saved a soul for God, he also saved the life of the prison guard himself. The guard wanted to fall on his own sword on the accord that blame will be passed to him. But instead, he found God through the help of Paul and Silas.
The story of Paul and silas is the manifestation of the power of God over those who trust in him and do His will.
God is always there for those who are working for him and those who are doing what he wants them to do.
His gospel and good news he has given us and he have always direct us on what to do what next.
Righteousness.
Righteousness is the key to everything we need.
Those who have put their whole heart and trust in the hand of God will never be lost in all they do and they will always be provided with all their needs.
Working towards faith is all we should be doing all the time .
Humility and faith through christ can bring us closer to God .
When you accept christ in your life you have already made a decision of being with him and working for him through your believe
its tells us what the lord will definiatelly do for you , the lord has made a clear way and prepare the perfect way for us
God gave you his word in the bible , he gave you everything you need as christain to be protected and guilded do not be desieved by anybody.
The church we attend sometimes we always be a part of distruction to all of those who practice the culture of a particular church which is sometimes away from what the bible teaches.
God loves you in all you do
This is one of my favourite Bible stories. I especially like how the prison guard was saved. Thank you for this.
The consolations of God to his suffering servants are neither few nor small. How much more happy are true Christians than their prosperous enemies! As in the dark, so out of the depths, we may cry unto God. No place, no time is amiss for prayer, if the heart be lifted up to God. No trouble, however grievous, should hinder us from praise. Christianity proves itself to be of God, in that it obliges us to be just to our own lives. Paul cried aloud to make the jailer hear, and to make him heed, saying, Do thyself no harm. All the cautions of the word of God against sin, and all appearances of it, and approaches to it, have this tendency.
Thanks for sharing this post with the steemchurch.
